1} First up is this article about companies that have been especially good at helping small and local businesses. Of particular interest to me is Square who provides an option for businesses who want to process credit cards via mobile devices! 2} Bring It on Home! Local Business Marketing With Location-Focused Platforms. Sticking with the local theme here …. second to consider are location-focused platforms like Foursquare & scvngr. These are not just for business-to-consumer-oriented companies but also for business-to-business companies as well. If you only use it to building stronger relationships with your existing customers it can be well worth it.
3} Third is an article from SCORE’s Small Business Success Blog. Titled 7 Entrepreneurial Lessons From Dick Clark this blog post lists “build your brand”, “set high standards”, “think long-term” and “keep on truckin‘ ” as lessons to be learned from Clark. Thanks for everything Dick Clark … RIP.
